What are PhotoWeights?

PhotoWeights are clear, glass paperweights that beautifully capture and frame photographs, artwork, crafts, embroidery, small objects, and a variety of other items. Each paperweight includes a pre-cut, self-adhesive finishing kit that makes it easy for even the most novice crafter to achieve professional results. The finishing kit consists of:

  • Mounting Board
    The mounting board is made of white, sturdy card stock and has a self-adhesive side to adhere to the back of your photo, artwork, embroidery, or other material. Any paper or material overlapping the edge of the mounting board may be trimmed to achieve a perfect fit.

  • Bottom Pad
    The bottom pad has the look and feel of black velvet. This piece also has a self-adhesive side that is applied to the bottom surface of the paperweight.

Will My Object Fit in This Paperweight?

Please refer to the measurements found beneath the product price (above). Your image or artwork will have to be sized to fit the mounting board. If you're displaying a thick or dimensional object, it should comfortably fit within the bottom recess depth. We often describe the bottom recess depth as the ceiling height within the paperweight.


Can I Change the Image in My Paperweight?

Absolutely! Whenever you'd like to change the item displayed in your paperweight, simply purchase a Replacement Finishing Kit.


What Are PhotoWeights Made Of?

PhotoWeights are made of clear glass and are handcrafted in the United States. Our paperweights may occasionally have characteristics inherent to handcrafted glassware such as a small bubble or subtle imperfection.

Replacement finishing kits are convenient to have on hand in case you make a mistake during assembly. You can also use a replacement finishing kit to change the image displayed in your paperweight at a later time.
