Step One
Adhere the adhesive side of the mounting board to the area of decorative paper you'd like to display in your paperweight.
We used a sheet of India Gold from The Paper Company (11001-053) which has the look of creased fabric with a slight metallic finish. |

Step Two
Using a pair of scissors, trim any paper overlapping the mounting board. The mounting board will act as an excellent cutting guide for your scissors.
Step Three
Apply glue to the back of the die-cut piece. Smooth the glue out evenly with your finger, making sure to cover any intricate pieces along the edges.
Step Four
Position the die-cut piece on the decorative paper covering your mounting board.
Allow the glue to dry completely prior to finishing your paperweight.

Step Five
Apply small, self-adhesive rhinestones to your design. We placed them in the center of several blue flowers. In place of rhinestones, you can also add a small dab of glue to certain areas and coat with glitter.
 | Step Six
After the glue has dried completely, place your design face-down into the recessed space located on the bottom of your paperweight.
 | Step Seven
Apply the self-adhesive pad across the bottom of your paperweight.

 | Your Finished!
I love this paperweight because it's beautiful and timeless. It's also very affordable to create. The cost of the decorative paper, die-cut scrap, and rhinestones was less than $1.50.
